The Rochester Academic Family Medicine Center is the home of the Wayne State University Family Medicine residency program. Located on the same campus as our base hospital, residents have access to the full-spectrum of medical specialties and resources that their patients may need.

This state of the art facility boasts a spacious resident lounge and work-space as well as patient rooms with interactive white boards and fully stocked "family rooms" for pediatric visits.

We pride ourselves in maintaining a team-based approach to care and all of our residents are members of a smaller team or pod that cares for one panel of patients. Upon matching each of our residents is assigned a "color team" and has a mentor senior-resident for added support.

Our mission is to serve the Oakland County Area with high quality, evidence-based, cost-effective health care and provide excellent training for our highly qualified residents and students.
