The Practicum - An Applied Practice Experience

All Wayne State University Master of Public Health students are required to complete a 135-hour applied practice experience, or practicum. The applied practice experience is a unique opportunity for students to explore their own public health interests while working in a professional public health setting. At the completion of the practicum, students will be able to demonstrate the application of public health concepts through a practice experience that is relevant to the core competencies of the program.
