The Practicum - An applied practice experience

All Wayne State University MPH students are required to complete a 135-hour applied practice experience, or practicum.

The Applied Practice Experience course (practicum) is a unique opportunity for students to explore their own public health interests while working in a professional public health setting.

At the completion of the practicum, students will be able to demonstrate the application of public health concepts through a practice experience that is relevant to the core competencies of the program.
