Biography

Dr. Tsilimingras is an Associate Professor, Co-Director of the Michigan AHEC (Area Health Education Center), and Director of Patient Safety in the Department of Family Medicine and Public Health Sciences. He is a health services researcher with expertise in patient safety and quality of care. His work focuses on post-discharge adverse events, the identification of adverse events after discharge from the hospital, in children and adults. He is currently funded by the NIH and has also received funding from AHRQ. He has several publications on post-discharge adverse events including editorials. He also serves on the editorial boards for several prestigious medical journals and as ad hoc grant reviewer for AHRQ.
