Year 4 medical students, Leya Maliekal, Manvir Sandhu, and Aya Dudar, received the Family Medicine Endowed Direction Fund for Medical Students Scholarship, to attend the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) National Conference of Family Medicine Residents and Medical Students, July 27 – July 29, 2023, at the Kansas City Convention Center in Kansas City, Missouri.

Year 4 medical students Yasmeen Alcodray (FMIG Leader) and Pooja Polamarasetti, were awarded a scholarship from the Southeastern Michigan Academy of Family Physicians (SEMAFP) to also attend the AAFP Conference.
