WSU Family Medicine Student Receives AAFP Student Membership Ambassador (SMA)

Congratulations to M4 student, Yasmeen Alcodray, selected as an AAFP Student Membership Ambassador from Wayne State University School of Medicine.  As a member, Yasmeen will receive relevant resources to guide her through her medical school journey including networking opportunities at national conferences of medical students, in over 20 member family medicine interest groups and various leadership role opportunities.  In addition, she will have access to medical journals, podcasts, advocacy opportunities, Match guidance, debt management tools, and more.

The American Academy of Family Physician (AAFP) organization’s mission is to “Strengthen family physicians and the communities they care for. Built on decades of proven representation, leadership, and advocacy, we support our members and the specialty with high standards and dynamic opportunities.’  The AAFP Student Membership Ambassador Program is just one of many ways in which they strengthen the practice of Family Medicine.
