Professional Development Scholarships Foster Student Success
This year five MPH students were awarded scholarships to attend the virtual 2020 American Public Health Association (APHA) Annual Meeting in late October. This national conference connects our MPH students with public health professionals from around the country and learn of current public health research. MPH students attended the APHA Student Assembly as well as sessions on maternal and child health, pharmacy, epidemiology, STD prevention, reproductive health, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and more.
The MPH Program is committed to providing our students with mentorship and professional development opportunities. However, we could not do so without the generous contributions of our faculty, friends, and supporters. We are especially grateful to School of Medicine alumna Ann Lewicki, MD, MPH, whose annual contribution has allowed us to send over 100 students to professional conferences throughout the years.
