Dr. Deborah Ellis Recognized for Leadership in Behavioral Medicine Research

Dr. Deborah Ellis, Associated Chair for Research in the department, was elected member of the Academy of Behavioral Medicine Research. Established in 1978 with the goal of fostering interdisciplinary behavioral medicine research and providing a “think-tank” forum for scientific leaders, the academy brings together highly distinguished researchers with strong publication records, major grant support, and leadership in the field. Its vision is to advance behavioral medicine by creating and disseminating knowledge, fostering scientific discourse, and inspiring research that improves health. Membership is by invitation only, meaning that candidates are nominated and then elected by current Fellows. Dr. Zilioli and Dr. Czajkowski nominated Dr. Ellis, whose election will be celebrated at the 2026 ABMR Annual Scientific Meeting.
